Colorbond Roof Replacement

Colorbond Roof Replacement

This is the first of three buildings in our Harkaway project just outside of Berwick called the Cottage for a Colorbond Roof Replacement. Built in the 1980’s, there has been little to no maintenance provided since that time and the building’s have become weathered and outdated. Our job is to restore, update and improve the buildings facade.

As these properties lie in what is essentially a national park with well-established forest all around, it is not just another simple building renovation. After the Black Sunday bush fires, a new set of building regulations came into effect for properties deemed to be within bush fire prone areas. Classifications were set for different levels of risk referred to as BAL (Bush fire Attack Level) for each building deemed to be within bush fire prone land. Under each BAL level is a set of corresponding building regulations that governs what types of materials we can use and specific additional construction procedures we need to follow.

To complicate matters further there is a large valley that can funnel very strong wind gusts straight against the north-side of all buildings. So having mentioned these additional circumstances, we have to be vigilant to ensure we at all times comply with the building codes and that our workmanship is of the highest possible quality.

Colorbond Roof Replacement

All these buildings were originally architecturally designed so we wanted to ensure we kept with this theme as overall it looks great. Switching to a typical corrugated roof metal or even Klip-Loc style would have moved the aesthetics away from the intended design. After much consideration we simply decided to improve upon the existing style of roof sheet installed.

The product we decided upon is a architectural roof decking called “Straight Line”. It has a high-rib and perfectly flat pan giving it a modern feel. The fastening system we employed was complete overkill and will handle any prevailing wind gusts.

Other steps we took during the Colorbond Roof Replacement include;

  • Replaced all rotten barge board, fascia board & rotten structural posts
  • Replaced the existing cladding with Hardie Plank
  • Sanded back, filled, primed and painted all external timber surfaces
  • Re-Caulked Windows
  • All new Lysaght Sheerline Guttering and down-pipes
  • All new Lysaght Novaline Fascia Cover
  • Installed CSR Bradford Anticon 55mm foil and blanket (roof sarking)

To finish this building we are simply wait upon delivery of new Colorbond Sectional Garage Doors and new hardwood timber doors, frames and toughened glass

You will not find a company as genuine, warm, knowledgable and professional as Adam and Dylan from Casey Roof Care!! After numerous intial quotes (including a company who simply drove past and didn’t even bother to talk to us face to face before rejecting the job via text message ,despite leaving us waiting 45minutes for him to show up) Adam and Dylan, not only reassured us with their exceptional customer service skills, but met us multiple times to discuss our options before we made a decsion to go with them. Taking into consideration the complexity of the job, they still came in well under what other company’s had quoted us (and they also included options that the other company’s did not offer in their quotes) The guys really rose to the challenge doing this job, despite all the obstacles they overcame, we are absolutely thrilled with the quality of the finished job. Before even completing the job, our neighbours also asked for them to quote for their house too, proof that their work is exceptional before its even completely done!! We would not hesitate to reccomend Casey Roof Care to anyone.. whether the job is big or small. Thanks very much Adam & Dylan

We just had our terracotta roof restored by Casey Roof Care. We received several quotes from different companies but thought Adam and Dillon were most reasonable. It wasn’t the cheapest quote but I believe its reflection of their quality of work and the products they use (which is explained in detail on their website). They were very professional and friendly and done a thorough assessment of the roof before providing us the quote. They worked very hard for four days and finished within the agreed time frame and the end result is just amazing. Very happy with the work they have done and I would highly recommend Casey Roof Care.

I had a roof repair done with Dylan and Adam recently and from the minute I first spoke to Adam he made me feel so at ease. He’s very knowledgeable, informative and happy to be flexible with his services around what you want and need. The price will be more expensive than some other quotes you may get, but you’ll soon realise that it’s an accurate reflection of the work that the lads actually do, and the quality of the products that they use, not to mention the time they’ll spend doing the work and making sure it’s perfect. Dylan is the other half of the business, and a great tradesman. Both blokes are really lovely, and 100% honest and hardworking tradies. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I thought the quote I received from Casey Roof Care was fair and reasonable. They explained to me what they did and how they went about it, even providing me with specific information about the products they used. They showed passion in their work, were at all times professional and I honestly believe these are a bunch of genuine guys trying to get a small business of the ground. I would highly recommend them to my friends and family, which I have already done. Thank you

The guys came around at short notice and promptly fixed a leak in my roof. I couldn’t be happier with the professionalism of Adam and Dylan. They were willing to make a minor repair to my roof while other companies had previously only wanted to quote for a full restoration that I did not need . Thanks

1st thing that impressed me about Adam and Dillon, was they listened to my requirements, they knew their job, knew what they where talking about and were honest, and didn’t try and up-sell me anything. I found them to be very professional, personable, reliable, enthusiastic, they showed pride in their work and showed respect for my home. they talked me through the whole process and discussed with me unexpected issues they came across whilst on the job. I would have no problems recommending Adam and Dillon to any one in fact i have already been spending the word, and i would have no problem hiring them again.
